Madrid follows Berlin: On December 13th the first citywave® has opened on the Iberian Peninsula. As the main attraction of the newly launched lifestyle destination “X-Madrid”, perfect surfing conditions year-round are awaiting all surfing enthusiasts at the 50,000 m² leisure and shopping area on the outskirts of the city.

Surf contest in the middle of Tokyo: despite rainy weather, around 5,000 spectators celebrated their stars on the standing wave in the heart of Tokyo on Monday and Tuesday. 50 top athletes from seven nations competed at the fourth stop of the citywave® pro World Tour (CPWT) in the SPORU Shinagawa sports ground. Divided into three categories (men, women, Masters +40) athletes competed for a total prize money of 10.000 Euros and valuable ranking points for the final of the CPTW 2020.
With impressive moves and tricks the professional surfers thrilled the spectators on site and thousands of Japanese fans on the TV screens.

Landlocked Surf Contest in the middle of Zurich. Over 4,000 enthusiastic fans attended the third stop of the citywave® pro World Tour on the Urbansurf platform in the Gerold Quartier last weekend. With fantastic surfing weather, Janina Zeitler and Lukas Brunner convinced the jury with their spectacular airs and radical turns, and in addition to the prize money, they also grabed highly sought-after ranking points for the grand finale of the World Tour 2020 in Tokyo.
In four categories (Men, Women, Masters +40 and Juniors U16), 78 world-class surfers from 10 nations fought for the win. In the end (…)

Surf competition in the middle of Shopping City Süd: 64 top surfers competed in Vienna for the second stop of the citywave® pro World Tour 2019 last weekend. In fantastic summer weather, the international surf elite thrilled the approximately 2000 spectators with spectacular turns („throwing buckets“) and tricks. After two exciting competition days, Rosina Neuerer (19) and Lenny Weinhold (18) secured the victory. Nicolas Marusa (15) prevailed in the juniors (U16), the masters (40+) could Dr. med. Florian Kummer decide for himself.

Snap-Tailsides, Threesixties and a fully booked grandstand – citywave® pro World Tour 2019’s first tour stop on April 24 and 25, 2019 in Hadera, Israel was a resounding success. Lured by summerly temperatures and a wave on which absolute best performances are possible, around 5000 fans and visitors came to the Mall Hof Shopping Village, not only to experience their idols up close, but also to actively support them. Over 10.000 people followed the action at home via live stream.
