The newest citywave® officially opened in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, in November 2024. This is the 21st wave of its kind. Centrally located in Vilnius’ city center, the facility spans 1,000 square meters and features a restaurant/café and event spaces, making it an inviting destination for visitors. As a standout feature, the standalone location is the first citywave® facility to offer co-living spaces, allowing surf trips to be combined with overnight stays.

2024 marks an exciting year for citywave, with the grand openings of three new wave projects: citywave Dallas, citywave Deep Ellum and citywave Vilnius.
In Dallas, two unique citywave locations are making their debut. citywave Deep Ellum, located in the city’s artsy and vibrant neighborhood, offers a fusion of surf culture with the local creative scene and pickle ball courts, while citywave Dallas, situated at Grandscape, one of the most innovative retail and entertainment developments, provides urban surfers a thrilling wave experience in the middle of one of Texas’ largest shopping and restaurant destinations.

On Labor Day Weekend, the Continental Surf Cup, one of the world’s largest surf competitions, concluded in Chelan, USA. Team Europe—featuring some of Germany’s top surfing talents—emerged victorious for the third consecutive time!Among the winners were Munich’s Eisbach professional Lennard Weinhold (23) and the 15-year-old Fabiana Klein, who both achieved the highest scores in their respective categories.

After Hawaii and Singapore, Dallas is the next destination! The latest citywave® has opened in the famous entertainment district of Deep Ellum.The standalone location “Goodsurf” combines urban lifestyle with a laid-back surfing atmosphere, nestled in the centrally located creative hub of the bustling metropolis.

It is truly a milestone in German engineering history: citywave, as a Munich-based company is currently building the world’s largest standing wave, right in the heart of the surfers’ paradise, Hawaii. The citywave Hawaii will officially launch on March 25.

Indoor debut of CPWT at the very first Indoor-citywave® worldwide: the fifth stop of the citywave pro World Tour last weekend attracts 40 participants from six nations to ‘The Glassy House’ in St. Gilles Croix de Vie, France.Following the exciting pre-rounds in the categories Men, Women, Masters (40+) and Juniors (U16) the top 16 riders qualified for the finals on Sunday where the total prize money of 10.000 Euro and valuable ranking points for the final of the CPWT 2020 were split.

Simon Bitterlich confidently won Men’s Wave Masters on the opening weekend of the world’s largest water sports exhibition boot Düsseldorf. The 20-year-old from Munich acted lightly and smoothly citywave ®, made the fewest mistakes and showed the most beautiful moves. In addition, the tour second of the citywave® pro World Tour 2019 built this wave himself.
